Anchor 1

Kabukicho is one of the most famous red light districts in Tokyo and is known for its richness in nightlife. When thinking of Kabukicho, people often first think of adult entertainment such as host and hostess clubs, love hotel district, etc. Although it is undeniable that the Kabukicho area seems to be dangerous at first glance, there are also places that are “normal.” However, stores and shops in Kabukicho that you may also see somewhere else in Tokyo contain social norms and smirk rules that are different from other areas in Tokyo. In the research, we choose two places, the Toho Cinema, and the Batting Center, to explore the specialty in Kabukicho. This website aims to discuss the “normal” and “abnormal” in the Kabukicho area.
